The Nieddera vine is present in Sardinia, in really small plots mostly in the provinces of Cagliari, Nuoro and Oristano.
In Sardo, typical dialect of the island, “Nieddu” means black, because Nieddera is a black grape variety, very dark, that produces wines of intense color.
The Nieddera has uncertain origins, although for some it would seem to originate from Carignano, a native vine of Sardinia. It is used in wine production IGT Valle del Tirso.
The berry is black, medium, spherical with thin, not very waxy skin. The bunch is medium, conical, with one or two wings and a medium, pentagonal, five-lobed leaf.
The Nieddera grape variety gives red wines of great body and structure.
Currently, we do not stock any wine, please come back later, we constantly add new wines.
